W02 Discussion: "Is the Great American Teacher Dead?

 A positive teacher-student relationship and the enhancement of a student's positive self-concept are extremely important. Drum said that "the importance of paying attention to the affective in educational settings is especially compelling in light of some recent findings." 

A good teacher always bond with theirs students. teaching is one of the nobles careers, teachers give so much for the society. I believe that great teachers create greats societies, and bad teachers do the opposite. Learning is a struggle to everyone, learning a new language as English can be difficult, but with a good teacher on board it can be fun and motivating for a student. 

TESOL teachers must explore mortypes of teaching and make topics as grammar enterterning. Great teachers make the student to fall in love with the subject, we can be the teachers that motivates the students to go out of their confort zone make them improves in more that learning a new language 

Is upon us, what kind of teacher want a be? the one who only teaches lessons or the one who teaches people

    Hello, I agree with you. The world needs good teachers, people that can see students as they could become beyond their circunstances.

  Brother Ivers said, “And so, be aware. Whenever a student is from a different place or ethnic group or something does anything weird, you have to give them the benefit of the doubt. Even though you may be interpreting it negatively, it may not be meant negatively. There’s a principle that you need to understand when you go into teaching in the diverse country in which we live.” Culture can be different but the respect must be the same. Sometimes the cultures are very different. Brother Ivers couldn’t be more accurate. Is important to give the benefit of the doubt in the cultures. As human beings we are competitive and we compare of culture, food and language with others and call our culture the best culture and denigrate the other cultures. We have to learn to respect others cultures and learn the most that we can from them   .
